Thanks to @properties -for lunch I had the most delicious chicken sandwich I’ve had in ages! I’m more of a burger gal, but this chicken was so crispy AND juicy it had me planning my next visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and even with a line down the block they were all smiles and hospitality to the max. The line moved fast and I was eating hot chicken within 10 minutes! I’ve had red light for the annual champagne event at my job for the past few years and it’s always the perfect pairing!

AMAZING GEM IN LINCOLN PARK!! It’s hard to do this place justice with a review. Service is fast, prices are fair (honestly no better prices around), and the food is incredibly high quality and tasty. The nuggets and sandwich and fries are incredible. The truffle fries have actual truffle on them instead of just using cheap truffle oil. Super flavorful. Did I mention it’s also seed oil free?! Everything is fried in tallow - the fries taste *just* like McDonald’s. I met one of the owners - Patrick - during my meal and he was great to talk to. It’s obvious how much him and his business partner put into this place. Can’t wait to come back.

Might be my favorite chicken sandwich in the city. I got the normal hot chicken, it had more of a Louisiana/tabasco taste to it, not like a Nashville chicken flavor. The chicken was crispy and had enough hot sauce to give it flavor without overpowering it. Also, this is probably the cheapest chicken sandwich at only 8! We also got the truffle fries, which were very good and had a fairly strong truffle flavor to them. It’s especially a great choice on nice days since there is not indoor seating, but there are counter tops outside to eat at.

Easily one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had EVER. So crispy and juicy. Employees were very kind and they have a good system for getting food out. The atmosphere was perfect as well.

So this is truly a food shack! In one door and out the other!! There is outdoor tables for standing room only. But Jan 2025 winter day was a bit too cold to be outdoors; so a warm car it is! The hot honey chicken was amazing!! Crispy and juicy with balance of sweet and hot (but not really) punctuated with them tart pickles. I think I gulped that sandwich down in 4 bites. It was a bit drippy but thats ok cause it was the honey. The salty truffle fries was a nice compliment. Aromatically, was earthy and the crunch on the fries was extremely satisfying. The service was very quick too, under one minute. Team was friendly and efficient. Will need to re-visit in summer, but fantastic!!

Delicious chicken sandwiches with fast, thoughtful service! Probably top in the city. I got the hot and honey with some regular fries and I highly recommend. Note that the ‘hot’ is some sort of tabasco style heat. My usual will probably become just the honey, as I’m not usually drawn to spicy food anyway. The service is super fast, kind, and thoughtful. When I wanted some water the server (possibly owner?) just gave me some bottled water which was appreciated (I rarely see this but strongly believe water should always be free). When throwing trash out they proactively asked if we wanted some wet wipes. Just really thoughtful and straightforward service that seems to take pride in what they do and care about their customers.

5 stars all around, we love Red Light Chicken! Can’t beat the hot honey chicken sandwich but really everything on the menu is fantastic. Such a cool spot hidden in the neighborhood with the friendliest people behind the counter. Don’t forget to get some spicy mayo with your order!

I love a chicken sandwich and I've never had one that was so good. Juicy but not greasy. Hot honey sauce was so flavorful. Delicious bun. Honestly so fast and sort of perfect. No clue what they did to make it so much better than all of the other chicken sandwiches out there. And if you are a fry lover like me? Get excited b/c they're so good. Honestly there's a reason there's often a line here. Don't be deterred. They're crazy fast and it's worth the wait.
